WHAT IS CREATIVE WAYFINDING?
Whether it is a gateway structure or interpretive, signage should be beautiful - a work of art - as well as informative and instructive.
Creative Wayfinding expresses the unique attributes of a place in a single or series of statements. It is more than simply signage design - it is about timing, landscaping and memory.
OUR APPROACH
ARTSCAPE develops signage typologies and themes to suit each project - as each item is designed specifically for the location, its history, audience and the needs of various user groups. Often community engagement is undertaken as part of the design process which allows the design to become place specific.
We have learnt to appreciate that there is a fine line between signage and public art projects. And that this fine line can be manipulated to benefit a specific approach. Overall, we aim to create bespoke signage projects which uses form, and motifs to support and amplify the written content.
